Campus news

Class of 2005 off to college

  • Of the Class of 2005, 131 students will attend 62 different colleges.
  • To begin their college careers, graduating seniors will head to 24 states and the District of Columbia.
  • Thirty-seven percent of our seniors (a total of 49) will attend college in Florida, while 82 (63%) will attend out-of-state school. Of the latter group, 31 are headed to institutions outside the southeast.
  • SAT averages for the Class of 2005 are 608 verbal and 617 math.

2004-2005 end-of-year athletic awards

Episcopal’s 2004-2005 end-of-year athletic awards were presented during a special assembly on Monday, April 25, at 9:00 AM in the Semmes gym. The following awards were presented.

The senior honors convocation, Episcopal’s annual award ceremony honoring seniors, was held on Friday, May 13, at 9:00 AM in the Buck Student Center, followed by the headmaster’s reception on the flag plaza for seniors and their families. Awards presented at senior honors convocation included:

Elizabeth Plate awarded to Episcopal’s girls’ junior four rowers at Stotesbury Cup regatta

Episcopal’s junior four rowers received the prestigious Elizabeth Plate, the highest award for their classification, at the Stotesbury Cup regatta in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 21, 2005; Stotesbury is the oldest and largest high school regatta in the world. The junior four rowers competed with fifty-two other teams for this award, and won the time trials, the semi-finals and the final event with a winning time of 524.72. The rowers are juniors Molly Davis, Lauren Johnston, Katie Liston, and Betsy Schneider, along with coxswain was Molly Druce.
