Admissions process
To receive an application, please email us, or call the office at 904.396.7104. Once you've received the Viewbook package, complete the application and the transcript release form, and return them to the admissions office with the $50 non-refundable application fee.
In order to be considered for first-round admission for the 2008-2009 academic year, the application must be submitted and the admissions testing completed no later than January 14, 2008. First-round admission decisions will be mailed the middle of February. Admission decisions for applications submitted or students tested after January 14th will be made on a rolling basis as spaces become available.
Episcopal uses the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) for admissions purposes. The online ISEE guide, containing test registration information, will be sent with the Viewbook package. Applicants from outside the Jacksonville area may test at the nearest ISEE test site. A complete listing of test sites is included in the ISEE Student Guide, and a brief local listing is shown here.
Tuition
Tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year is:
-
Middle School (grades 6-8) $16,250.
-
Upper School (grades 9-12) $17,000.
Several payment options are available. There is no reduction in tuition for multiple students. If you are concerned about your family's ability to afford an Episcopal High School education, please refer to the financial aid section below. In addition to tuition, students must purchase their own books and lunches. A one-time facility fee of $500 is required (of new students only) at the time of enrollment.
Financial aid
Episcopal High School is committed to providing need-based financial aid assistance to families who are unable to cover the full tuition costs. In order to determine each family's need, the School utilizes the services of the School and Student Services (SSS) for Financial Aid. Acceptance to Episcopal is need-blind, which means that a student's financial situation does not influence the admission decision.
To apply for financial aid, applicants should mark the designated space on the application form. After December 1, financial aid applications will be mailed to all families requesting the information. Financial aid deadlines are mid-February; offers are mailed in late March. After that time, awards are made based on the availability of funds.
