Message from the Head of School

From the early morning on, our campus is alive with activity. Students meet with faculty before school for tutorial help, assignment review or test preparation; artists, actors and musicians work on their projects; clubs gather to schedule and plan events; coaches and athletes confer about practice and game strategies. And all this activity occurs before the morning homeroom bell, which officially begins the school day.
Episcopal's 100-plus teaching faculty members are committed to sharing their expertise with our students. Although our liberal arts curriculum is demanding, it allows students to explore core subjects such as English, foreign languages, history, math and science, along with extensive fine-arts offerings, theology and physical education, all from entry-level classes to Advanced Placement. Teachers and students are busy indeed - but a hallmark of Episcopal is our sense of community, fostered by the communication, commitment and enthusiasm shared by faculty and students.
Daily advisory meetings as well as weekly chapel and college-counseling classes provide ample time for faculty and students to get to know each other outside of class, and the outdoor look and feel of the campus offer many locations for impromptu conversations. Teaching and learning at Episcopal are truly shared experiences.
An Episcopal diploma is a well-earned honor for our graduates. The vast majority of our graduates have been involved in athletics or participated in fine-arts programs and contributed more than the required community-service hours. Our challenging academic curriculum consistently prepares our students to achieve extraordinary SAT and AP scores. Episcopal students are fully prepared and for the wide range of colleges and universities they subsequently attend.
Having been a part of Episcopal High School for more than 30 years, I know the School well. It is in every way exceptional. Come see for yourself.
