The Episcopal Fund

Alumni giving was at an all-time high in 2007-2008, raising over $114,000 for The Episcopal Fund. Thank you to all alumni who supported Episcopal High School. 

 

The 2008-2009 Episcopal Fund campaign kicked off on July 1, 2008. The alumni goal this year is $130,000. Help the alumni reach their goal by giving online now.

Episcopal opened its doors with 113 alumni children enrolled. Alumni children now make up 12.5% of the total student body.

 

Calling All Alumni Authors

Beginning with our November alumni newsletter, we will be listing published books by Episcopal alumni authors. If you have a book that you would like to have mentioned, please e-mail the information to the alumni office before November 1.

CASE Award

Episcopal's newly designed admissions viewbook received a bronze medal from the internationally recognized Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). This awards program recognizes outstanding institutional advancement efforts, in categories ranging from fundraising efforts and alumni relations projects to publication and Web design. The viewbook was designed by local consulting and creative services firm Burdette-Ketchum, which is co-owned by Episcopal alumnus Will Ketchum '84.

Plans are already under way for Homecoming 2008! We hope to see you and your family back at Episcopal for one of the biggest alumni events of the year. Remember food, drinks, and admission to the game are all free to alumni families-so be sure to save the date of October 10 on your calendar.

hunterAlumni Night at the Suns

Over 50 alumni and their families attended the fourth annual Alumni Night at the Ballpark on July 12 at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The highlight of the evening came in between innings when Episcopal baseball player Hunter Scantling '08 was honored by the Suns management as the top high school baseball player in Jacksonville. College Counseling
Episcopal's Class of 2008 had 100% college placement and boasted an average SAT score of 1233. For more information on the Class and its college choices, view the 2008 College Profile here.

Fine Arts

The Episcopal drama department is already hard at work on their fall play, Miracle Worker. The play will be performed November 6, 7, and 8 in the Munnerlyn Center for Worship and Fine Arts. Athletics

footballFall sports at Episcopal are under way, so be sure not to miss out on the action. The fall teams are highlighted by the 3-time defending state champion girls cross-country team, the defending district champion football team, and state final-four participant volleyball team.
