- The Future of Math - This site breaks new ground by using a variety of exceptional techniques to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts. Click ‘Blogs’ for information on using learning logs, journals, and math autobiographies in the classroom. Click ‘Forums’ to learn about the wide range of options available for discussing classroom projects with other educators. The section on spreadsheets tells how charts and graphs can be used in instruction.

Geometry Lesson Plans - These geometry lessons were developed by the staff at John Handley High School in Winchester County, Virginia. Many of the activities have a real-life focul. For example, Rations of TV Screens uses as Consumer Reports article about high-definition televisions as the basis for an inquiry about the ratio of length to width to determine the size of the viewing area. In addition, link to the math problem of the week and interactive activities.
- Illuminations - Presents over 500 comprehensive lesson plans which can be searched by grade level or NCTM's Principles and Standards for School Mathematics (numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis, and probability). There are also 90 interactive tools such as the circle grapher, which allows students to input data and chose colors to make instant graphs.
- The Math Forum is an award-winning site from Drexel College. Among its numerous features are math resources by subject, innovations & concerns in math education, key issues in math, discussion groups, and web units & lessons.
- Math Portal - This compilation is from the Florida Center for Instructional Technology. Math clip art is sorted by topic: there are more than 6,000 images of angles, clocks, currency, fractions, geometry, and thermometers to insert on worksheets or class websites. Math Resources offers excellent articles on instruction as well as Daily Dilemmas, quick problem-solving activities.
- TERC - a non-profit research and development organization committed to improving mathematics and science learning and teaching; includes information relating to hot topics in math & science education, descriptions of new projects, and research studies.
