Upper School

Upper School students experience a stimulating environment which is intellectually rigorous, yet full of support and encouragement. Episcopal offers over 100 courses in nine academic areas. Before graduating, each student must complete a comprehensive program that includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign languages, religion, computer science and fine arts. A wide selection of honors and advanced-placement courses are offered in each discipline.

Episcopal students are academically focused. They realize education is key to future success. Each year they participate in a variety of scholastic competitions, and enjoy a reputation for superior achievement at the local, state and national levels.

Many Episcopal students go beyond the books by participating in a variety of corollary programs, such as Bermuda oceanographic research, fine arts trips to New York City, Joe Berg seminars, and foreign language study abroad.

Recent Episcopal graduates continue their academic growth at such respected and prestigious colleges and universities as Boston College, Columbia University, Davidson College, Dartmouth College, Duke University, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Skidmore College, United States Naval Academy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, Wake Forest University, Washington & Lee University, and Williams College, among others.
