As you walk through the Munnerlyn Center on any given school day, you’ll hear a wide variety of music. From modern hip-hop in the dance studio, to a medieval chant from the vocal room, to the sounds of the instrumental ensemble rehearsing The Pines of Rome, music is a vital part of what takes place in the Munnerlyn Center every day.

In addition to the instrumental ensemble class, comprised of 38 musicians in grades eight through 12, Episcopal offers students the opportunity to create and record original music in our music-production classes. Music-production students have collaborated with dance ensemble members to create original music to be choreographed and performed in one of our weekly chapel services. These students have also created their very own music videos!
Regardless of a student’s musical preferences – from the swinging sounds of jazz ensemble to the chapel band, or from the vocal ensemble’s popular tunes from Broadway to cutting edge music created by the students themselves – music is alive and well at Episcopal High School.
