Jacksonville Becoming a "Southern Lacrosse City" with the Help of Teams like Episcopal

According to an ijax.com article, "the [lacrosse] movement [in North Florida] has grown out of its infancy and now approaches its adolescence. The expanding population and the ever growing opportunity turned a once quiet little community into a boomtown as the population grows and the passion builds." The story also reported that over 20 high schools in Duval and St. John’s counties offer boys lacrosse either at the club level or as a sanctioned sport by the FHSAA . The numbers are similar for girl’s lacrosse. Episcopal is credited in the story as one of the original schools in the region to offer the sport.
