• Nine Episcopal Student-Athletes Commit on National Signing Day

• Boys Varsity Soccer Team Wins District Title; Boys & Girls Advance to Regional Competition

  Both the boys and girls varsity soccer teams will compete in regional games this week. After clenching the district title against Bolles with a 1-0 victory--with a goal by Nick Branholm '10--the boys team will take on Keystone Heights on Thursday, February 4, at 7:00 p.m. on McCormick Field in the regional quarterfinal game. The girls team, district runner-ups, won their quarterfinal game against Bishop Snyder 4-0. They advance to the semifinals on Tuesday, February 2, at 7:00 p.m. at Bolles.

• Episcopal Senior Invited to Participate in Shrine Bowl

  Lee Haramis '10 will play in the 21st annual North-South Shrine Bowl on Saturday, January 30, at 2:30 p.m. at Mandarin High School. Pre-game activities begin at 2:00 p.m.; tickets are $7.50. The game is put on by the Morocco Shrine Center and proceeds benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children. For more information, click here.

• Middle School Boys Soccer Wins IMSC Tournament

  The Middle School boys soccer team beat Bolles 1-0, capturing the IMSC title in an exciting double-overtime victory. The team ended their season with a perfect record of 15-0. To view a clip of the winning goal, click here.

• Varsity Boys Soccer Team Gives Back

  

  The Episcopal boys varsity soccer team is in the midst of the biggest week of their season: district week. While other teams around town were busy getting in extra practice time this past weekend, the Episcopal boys took a different approach. On Saturday evening, the Episcopal boys soccer team volunteered for the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville. The boys helped organize a group of 60 special needs children into four teams for a night of soccer and fun. The event, which took place at Patton Park off of Hodges Boulevard, included a pot-luck picnic afterwards with all the participants. Coach Andy Kidd said of the event, "The experience our team had with the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville was unbelievable. I would argue that our boys learned more from the special needs children than they could ever learn from us."
