Mason Sabo

Mason Sabo ’09 has been on the varsity boys soccer team since he came to Episcopal in the ninth grade. He is a mature student-athlete who has been a role model for younger players both on and off the field. Mason understands the concept of being a student first and athlete second, as he has excelled in the classroom as well as on the field. He has also participated in the soccer team’s community-service projects with the Sulzbacher Center and the Sanctuary on 8th the past two years.
On the field, Mason approaches each practice with the same intensity and focus he brings to games, an attitude which has been contagious among his teammates and has translated into team success. In his time as the team’s starting goalkeeper, Mason has helped lead the team to the regional finals two years in a row, and has recorded 18 shutouts while posting a 1.04 goals-against average. Coach Kidd says of Mason, “It has been great to see Mason mature as a player, but I am more proud of the way he has grown as a young man since he came to Episcopal.”
