George Russell
Varsity Boys and Girls Head Coach
Coach George Russell played varsity tennis for four years at The University of Michigan, winning the Big Ten singles championship, and played in professional tennis tournaments while teaching high school science and coaching baseball, tennis and football. He participated in the United States Professional Tennis Association as a #1 level professional and coached boys and girls varsity tennis at Detroit Country Day School for 10 years, earning five state titles. He owned and managed indoor tennis and soccer clubs in Detroit before moving to Florida to help coach his son, Michael, who is on the Men’s Professional Tour and is ranked 60th in the world. He managed the ATP Tennis Club in Ponte Vedra Beach for five years and now coaches boys varsity tennis at Episcopal. Coach Russell's teams have won the district tournament for the past five years and won the Regional Tournament four out of the past five years.

Carole Russell
Varsity Girls Head Coach
Coach Carole Russell played club tennis for four years at the University of Michigan and played in professional tennis tournaments while teaching middle school English and coaching tennis at Detroit Country Day School. She coached boys and girls varsity tennis at Detroit Country Day School for 10 years, earning five state titles. In 1997, Coach Russell was selected State Coach of the Year for the state of Michigan. Coach Russell is a member of Episcopal’s English department faculty.

Junior varsity
Jake Nash
Junior Varsity Head Coach
Coach Jake Nash is a member of the History department at Episcopal, teaching World Geography, American History and Economics. He is in his sixth year as head junior varsity tennis coach. He has also worked as an assistant coach for the cross country program. He and his wife, Stacy DuPont Nash '88, have a son, William, Episcopal class of 2021.
