Buddy Myers
Boys Head Coach
Coach Buddy Myers started running in 1992 to get in shape for soccer. After several seasons of cross country at Stanton Prep, he realized he was a better runner than soccer player or baseball player. He briefly ran cross
country at Davidson College and at the University of the South. Upon
transferring to the University of Florida to finish his English degree, he began his six-year assistant coaching career at Oak Hall School. During that time, he coached many district, regional and state champions in track. He still runs and competes in races with personal record times of 17:38 (5K), 36:32 (10K) and 56:50 (15K).
