Of the 154 students in the Class of 2009, 11 were National Merit Finalists, six were Commended Scholars, two were National Hispanic Scholars, and one was a National Achievement Scholar.

Over 85% of our students participated on at least one interscholastic athletic team.

Episcopal students volunteered thousands of hours to various charities and non-profits. In addition, they conducted a student-led summer camp for daniel, Inc. and participated on two mission trips to the Dominican Republic to work with orphans.

Episcopal’s seniors averaged 1208 on the college SAT compared to the state average of 993. Our composite score on the ACT was 26.0 compared to the Florida average of 19.5.

Our Athletic Department committed to a no-cut policy for Middle Schoolers.

Episcopal’s outstanding interscholastic teams won district, regional, and state titles. Twelve scholar-athletes will continue their sports careers in college.

Sixty sophomore, junior, and senior students were inducted into the National Honor Society.

Episcopal’s Varsity Brain Brawl team won the Duval County Brain Brawl District Championship, beating Stanton College Prep in the championship round.

An Episcopal senior achieved a perfect score on the 2009 National Latin Exam; less than one percent of students who took the exam earned a perfect score.

Episcopal’s Thespian troupe competed in the state competition, performing eight pieces. Four earned superior marks and four received excellent marks.

Nine Episcopal students presented their projects at the Florida State Science and Engineering Fair and all nine received awards at the closing ceremony. Four of these students went on to the 2009 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair and all four won grand awards.

Episcopal awarded nearly two million dollars in need-based financial aid to deserving students.

All students attended Chapel at least once a week.

Chinese was offered as a new foreign language option for Episcopal students.

In the State Geography Bee, an Episcopal Middle School student placed fifth in the champion-ship round and was the first student in five years to represent Duval County. The last student from Duval County to do so was also from Episcopal.

The pass rate for our students on Advanced Placement exams was 84%. Eighty-two Episcopal students earned College Board AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP exams.

Seven Episcopal musicians were selected to perform in the 16th annual Private Schools Honor Band Concert.
