  • Required Forms and Important Information for the 2009-2010 School Year

    To facilitate a smooth opening of school, it is necessary that certain information be on file. All of the required forms and information can be found online here. Parents or legal guardians of all students must complete and return the necessary forms by Friday, August 14, 2009, unless otherwise noted.

  • Pole Vault Program Soars High

    First Coast News turned its attention to Episcopal's pole vault program by featuring Coach Crandall and his Episcopal Summer Pole Vault Camp in a newscast this week.   • End-of-Year Faculty Awards

    Each year Episcopal honors its faculty with three prestigious awards: the Timothy Award, the Guardian Award, and the Davis Award for Excellence in Teaching. Each winner receives a grant from the School. Congratulations to the following recipients:

  • Girls Freshman Eight: Sixth in the Nation

    Girls freshman eight team members

    The girls crew freshman eight boat finished in sixth place at the Scholastic Rowing Association National Championship, held in Mercer, New Jersey. After an undefeated season in Florida, which included winning the Florida Scholastic State Championships, the girls traveled to nationals. They won their heat on Friday and placed third in the semifinal on Saturday to qualify for the finals. The boat finished with a time of 6:00.237, against 25 of the nation's best rowing teams.

  • Girls Freshman Eight First Heading into Semifinals

    The Girls Freshman Eight Boat

    The girls crew team’s freshman eight boat is in first place heading into Saturday’s semifinal competition at the Scholastic Rowing Association National Championship, held in Mercer, New Jersey. The boat won its qualifying round with a time of 5:23.42, beating 24 boats from three heats. Saturday’s results can be tracked via http://www.row2k.com/. Go Eagles!

  • Professional Development: Dance Instructor to Attend Doug Varone Dance Workshop

    Episcopal Dance Teacher Daron Wehle '03 is currently attending the tenth annual three-week summer dance workshop, led by award-winning choreographer and director Doug Varone, who works in dance, theater, opera, film, television, and fashion. Under his guidance, Daron and her fellow workshop participants will spend eleven hours each day honing techniques in ballet, Pilates, phrase work, and modern dance; learning choreographic devices; and using the Irene Dowd training sequences, which are used for developing strength and flexibility. The skills taught will also be used in future productions performed by Varone's dance company members. (story continues)

    Episcopal Summer is all about fun and self improvement. The classes give students the opportunity to enjoy the subject matter at a relaxed pace, with fewer students and greater teacher attention.
